Python Job: Laboratory Technician for an Academic Institution

For our client, an important academic institution, we are looking for a Lab Technician for a long-term position!

This unique opening will give you the opportunity to work in a world-class research environment and assist scientists on their groudbreaking work.

• Maintain cultures of lab organisms
• Manage long-term storage and catalogue of lab organisms
• Contribute to the development of culturing and imaging conditions as well as molecular tools to work with non-conventional model organisms
• Assist scientists with molecular biology and fluorescence microscopy

• Master's degree in biochemistry, biophysics, cell biology, or a related field; Bachelor's degree accepted if combined with relevent experience
• Experience in a lab setting with knowledge in troublshooting protocols
• Fluency in English (C1 min.)
• Knowledge of Python, an asset
• Flexible, curious, independant & collaborative personality
